I was so excited when Katy reached out to me after she and Austin got engaged. I photographed her sister’s wedding earlier this year and was so excited to hear that she had gotten engaged soon after that. These two are getting married late next year and I can’t wait! We met up for their engagement session over the Thanksgiving holiday when they were in town, and even though it might have been raining up until the moment their engagement session started, we had a blast and I loved capturing these moments for them!

We started in downtown Houston in a area that overlooked the city.

Katy and Austin wanted to split their session between an outdoors natural city scene and a wine bar downtown where they went on their first date. I LOVED this idea. It’s also so fun and more meaningful when a couple brings personal elements to their engagement session.
