Every year around this time I normally sit down and write out some goals that I hope to accomplish the next year. This year I was not feeling it at all. I’m not sure if it was the cliche-ness of New Year resolutions or what, but I had literally no motivation to write out any goals. Don’t get me wrong, I have goals, I just didn’t feel like voicing them on paper, essentially making them real.
Last week I found a piece of paper I had stashed away in my desk. Written on the paper was a list. I remember writing the list at the end of 2010. The list contained the goals I had for 2011. For the past few months I felt as though I was stuck in a rut, not really accomplishing the things I want to accomplish…not moving forward. Then I found the list that I had written, and I was reminded of all the things that I have accomplished this year. And it felt good.
That is why I will once again write down my goals for the coming year. It helped me see that I am accomplishing the things that I want to accomplish. It gave me perspective.
I thought this would be a good time to thank all my clients of 2011. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can’t express it enough. Without you, I would not be able to do what I love. Please know that I don’t take any of it for granted. I feel truly blessed.
Here are some of my favorites from the past year. Click the link above each photo to go to the original post.
I can’t forget the family’s.
And I can’t forget the dogs!
