It was such an honor to photograph Makayla and Haydn’s wedding earlier this month at Big Sky Barn. Makayla and Haydn are the kindest couple and I love how much they value their family and are centered around family.
The morning of the wedding rain was predicted for most of the day, but we got pretty lucky and just had some light sprinkles here and there throughout the day. We started the day like we always do: photographing their details. I always love photographing details because it gives me a chance to capture the small items that are important to the couple and might get overlooked throughout the rest of the day. One of my favorite details was the silver dollar that had been passed down from Makayla’s grandfather to Haydn. It has such a touching story behind it and was just another example of how much these two cherish their family.
Makayla + Haydn, thank you so much for trusting me to capture these moments for you! Here are a few of my favorites from your day!
Makayla’s dress was so elegant, I loved it.
Makayla’s mom and sisters helped her get ready and I loved these sweet moments between the ladies of the family.
After Makayla got dressed, her Dad came in to see her and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Then it was time to get married!
One of my favorite parts of the night was Makayla’s dad’s toast! It was so memorable for everyone!!
Before it was time for the exit, we snuck outside for some nighttime portraits. Big Sky Barn has the best grounds for night portraits.
One last private dance before the exit.
A big thanks to the vendor team who made their day possible!
