I met up with Sydnee and Drew a few weeks ago at one of my favorite spots in Houston Texas for their engagement session. It was a bit toasty out (and by toasty I mean hot and sweaty), but Sydnee and Drew powered through and I’m so glad they did! Summer in Houston is not my favorite time for portraits because it is so hot, my couples get sweaty and we are usually fighting off mosquitoes. All of that being said, the upside of sessions in the summer is I love how green and full of leaves everything is! This location looks so magical this time of year!
We took these at my favorite spot in Houston and I’m so glad Sydnee and Drew chose this location. There are so many possibilities here and it always gets my creative juices flowing! Not only did it not rain the day of their session, but we had the most beautiful sunny day with the most amazing light! Sunny days are my absolute favorite for photographing sessions.
One of my favorite things about these two is how much they put their trust in me. Every time I asked them to do something that might have sounded weird, they replied back that they trusted me and would do whatever I asked them to do for their photos. As a photographer, I can’t thank a couple enough when they say these words! Trust between a photographer and client(s) is SO important, and I am so lucky that I have clients who continually trust me and put up with me when I’m freaking out behind the camera with how beautiful everything is turning out.
These two are getting married next year at The Farmhouse and I cannot wait! Here are a few of my favorites from their summer engagement session in Houston a few weeks ago!
