I had the absolute joy of photographing Faith and JD’s engagement session at Balmorhea Events in Magnolia, TX, last week!  It was such a sweet preview of what’s to come for their wedding day. Balmorhea Events is already one of my favorite venues, and getting to capture their love story on the very grounds where they’ll say I do made it extra special.

From the very beginning of our session, it was clear how natural and effortless Faith and JD are together. They laughed, danced, and soaked up every moment, which made my job as their photographer so easy. We wandered around Balmorhea Event’s charming outdoor spaces, finding the prettiest golden light by the water and under the trees. The combination of their joy and the stunning backdrop created images that feel timeless and true to them.

One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is that it allows me to get to know the couple, how they met and got engaged, as well as it helps them get to know me and feel even more comfortable in front of my camera the day of the wedding!
