I can’t tell you how special it was for me to photograph this wedding. Kristen and I went to college together, so when she contacted me about photographing her and Kyle’s wedding I was so both excited and honored to do it. Over the past year, I photographed their engagements and Kristen’s bridal’s. Throughout the entire process, they treated me wonderfully and were such a pleasure to work with! Their wedding day was no different. I felt so welcomed the entire day by all their family and friends and so appreciated how they treated me.
I have to give a huge shout out to my friend and (amazing) second shooter for the day, Betsy!!
The ceremony took place on a beautiful day at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas.
One way to help your photographer work fast and efficiently the day of your wedding is to have all the details you want photographed ready and in one place when your photographer arrives. I mentioned this to Kristen and she went above and beyond having everything ready for me.
Kristen and Kyle decided to have a first look and see each other before this ceremony. This allowed them to have a few private moments to themselves during their day, and we were able to finish all the family photos before the ceremony took place.
Kristen and her dad have their own special handshake which they did before her dad walked her down the aisle.
Officially husband and wife!
MW Floral Design provided all the beautiful florals you see below.
I mentioned to Kristen the idea of going out around sunset when the lighting would be softer for some evening portraits of her and Kyle, and they were totally up for it.
Nathan with DJ Connections kept the dance floor going all night!
Kristen and Kyle, thank you for trusting me with your special day. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. 🙂
