In a day of digital files and computers, it can be easy to overlook getting a wedding album and think you don’t need or want one. I genuinely believe albums are so important and worth the investment and is the most important part of what I do. Although all collections include high-resolution files, having a physical album to hold at the end of your experience is my goal.
Here are a few reasons why I’m a huge advocate of albums:
A wedding album is a couple’s first family heirloom. It’s something that is going to be passed down generation to generation. Something you will pull out to show your children and grandchildren when they express interest in seeing photos from your wedding day. My grandparents are no longer with us, and I cherish the photos we have of their wedding day. I cherish the wedding album of my parent’s wedding day as well. Those photos cannot be replaced and are priceless to me.
In a world of digital age, it’s so easy for hard drives to fail, flash drives to get lost, files to get corrupt. Yes you can make backups, but there’s nothing more secure than having hard copies of those images archived in a wedding album. A printed photo cannot fail or become corrupt like files do.
If you hired me to photograph your wedding day, you have invested in photography. You have prioritized documenting your memories. I hope you choose to display them and want them displayed! Purchasing an album ensures that your photos are printed and printed accurately with top quality. There’s nothing worse than investing in photography and then having the images poorly printed. Invest in the printing as well so the photo quality you were drawn to when booking your photographer can be seen in the final printed images as well.
I’m so proud to offer these albums to my clients. Each album is hand crafted and their quality is top-notch.
