I can’t imagine two people more perfect for each other than Liz and Don!  The genuine love and care between these two is so apparent to anyone around them.  It has been such an honor getting to know Liz and Don over the last year and getting to photograph their wedding a few weeks ago.

The Farmhouse was the perfect backdrop for their Fall wedding.  It was an overcast day, but I found that to be a blessing!  We were able to photograph in areas around the venue that on a sunny day are usually off-limits due to lighting.  It’s so refreshing when I get to change things up and do things differently than what I’ve done before.

Being the animal/pet lover I am, one of my favorite details of the day was the printed, blown-up heads of each of Liz and Don’s pets attached to sticks for the dance floor.  I thought this was such a fun way to incorporate their furry family, and made sure we got a quick photo of the newlyweds with their fur babies during the reception.

Right before Liz and Don’s exit, I noticed it was misting ever so slightly outside.  I snapped a quick photo, went back inside to show them and asked if they would be willing to walk further out after their sparkler exit for a few night shots.  Immediately they said yes, and I’m so glad they did!  Those photos only took us a few extra minutes and I love how they turned out!  If something fun like that happens on your wedding day, take advantage of it!  It doesn’t take long and I’ve never had anyone regret taking those few minutes after the fact!
