I am a huge believer in wedding planners. I think they help take the stress off a bride, help coordinate vendors and ensure that everything the day of the wedding flows smoothly. One of the main reasons we hired a wedding planner for our wedding is because we did not want our family and friends to be working the day of our wedding. We wanted them to relax and enjoy the day instead of running around making sure things were set up correctly and everyone was where they needed to be.
One of my super-talented friends and amazing wedding coordinator, Ashley with Two Be Wed is sharing some of her thoughts today about why a wedding planner is a must and something every bride should consider for her wedding! Here’s what Ashley had to say about her job, what a wedding planner is responsible for and how a wedding planner can help ease your stress!
As a newly engaged bride, planning a wedding can be extremely overwhelming. Between the ever-evolving wedding Pinterest board and the vastly growing wedding industry, it’s hard to know where to start first and what is realistic. As planners, we share our knowledge, contacts and expertise to help guide you throughout the planning process to create a visually stunning and flawlessly executed event. At Two Be Wed, we take the time to get to know our clients, their love story, their personal style and taste, and their overall vision for the day. Then we provide a comprehensive visual blueprint of their wedding before the planning process even begins. That way, every decision is purposeful and precise, including the team of wedding professionals we assemble to bring the client’s vision to life on the big day.
We understand each bride and their wedding needs differ – some need guidance every step of the way and others simply want to pass off the execution portion to someone they trust. Regardless of the planning package, we strive to offer a seamless day-of experience. To achieve this, our responsibilities include creating a master itinerary, assisting with layout and design arrangements, finalizing and overseeing vendor contracts, executing setup and breakdown, and managing vendors, wedding party and family throughout the evening. We also can help negotiate contracts, gain access to booking incentives with preferred vendors, and know how to maximize a wedding budget. It is no small task, and we take great pride in the peace of mind we offer our clients.
Bottom line, you have invested time, money and many sleepness nights towards the success of the most special day in your life. Don’t leave that investment up to chance. The time to hire a planner is now so you can enjoy this engagement season, having fun and stress-free!
