Sometimes, I think we live so much in the moment that it’s hard to see how far we have come.  You know what I mean?  I have days where I feel like I’m not progressing AT ALL in both my photography business and my personal life.  For me, it’s been good to sit down every once in a while and reflect on everything that has happened and everything that I have experienced.  I’m a huge believer in traveling, living life to its fullest and traveling some more.  🙂  I recently went back through this year’s photos (for Christmas present reasons) and while working on that project, I was able to see everything I have done/accomplished/experienced/visited this year.  Here are just a few of the highlights:

The year started off pretty amazing with a trip to Vegas for WPPI (which I will be attending again next year) and made some of the most amazing friends.

I embraced my “child-at-heart” personality and took a trip to Sea World for my birthday.

After my poor little truck that I had been driving since I turned sixteen died on me, I bought my first brand new car (it was a big deal)!

I experienced the circus for the first time.

I took David to go visit my college and see a Texas Tech football game.

I went to New York City for the first time and took my mom with me.

Times Square

Central Park

9/11 Memorial

Visited South Carolina for a quick weekend.

Went on day outings with David such as the zoo

and Renaissance Festival

where I fell in love with glass blowing, and am now on a search for the perfect set of glass blown tumblers.

Went camping and horseback riding for the first time in years. And most recently made sure to enjoy some Christmas festivities!

And let’s not forget that I got to enjoy another year with two of the most loyal companions I could ever dream of (let’s face it…not all dogs would put up with this).
