What’s with all the Christmas music hate going around facebook these days? If you know anything about me, you know I love the month of December and everything Christmas related (including Christmas music). I really wasn’t aware that so many people hated Christmas music until this year. My facebook newsfeed has been on fire with the amount of people who dislike the holiday music. I know it’s the same music every year, but honestly, it’s one month out of the year (well, two if you’re me)! How can you complain about that when we listen to the same mainstream stuff twelve months out of the year several years in a row (The Lady Antebellum song “Need You Now” is STILL being played on a daily basis, two years later)?
If you’re my friend on facebook you might remember me posting this picture with the caption “how am I supposed to work now?”
Please excuse the poor phone quality and not hold it against my real picture taking skills. This lasted about five minutes, before I made him get off. WORST. MISTAKE. EVER. Bandit is now a constant nuisance every time I sit down to do work at my computer, insisting that I pick him up and let him see my work first hand. Simply put, two minutes of adorable cuteness has created a monster.
Skype. I love it. I’m not sure what rock I’ve been living under but a few months ago I downloaded the program and am now able to talk with my family and friends out of state. This means the world to me as most of my family lives in California and I have friends spread across the Lonestar state.
I’m a freak of nature in the sense that I’m pretty much the only person I know who doesn’t like coffee. BUT, I love Starbucks. Not the coffee, just the atmosphere. Want to know another reason why I love December so much? It’s about the only month out of the year where the weather in Texas justifies ordering a hot chocolate from the overpriced franchise. One of my favorite things to do lately is take my laptop to Starbucks, order me a hot chocolate and work at a table by the window. It’s surprisingly much more productive then if I were working at home. That’s what you would call a win-win situation.
Happy Wednesday! 🙂
