Samantha and Jan’s wedding at Tosca Vineyard in New Waverly, TX was the perfect blend of heartfelt moments, family ties, and golden-hour romance. Every detail of their day felt deeply personal—especially the venue itself. Nestled in Texas, Tosca Vineyard is more than just a beautiful backdrop for weddings—it’s owned by the bride’s grandfather, making this celebration even more meaningful.

Samantha and Jan were intentional about every part of their wedding day, including how they spent their time. Instead of slipping away during cocktail hour for portraits—as many couples do—they prioritized mingling with their guests. Their solution? A quick sunset escape later in the evening. As the golden light dipped over the vines, we stepped away for a quiet moment with just the two of them. These sunset portraits were absolutely magical—soft, romantic, and full of genuine emotion.

The reception took place under a stunning open-sided tent, which added a romantic, elevated feel to the evening. Twinkle lights glowed above, the surrounding garden setting created a serene backdrop, and guests enjoyed dinner and dancing in the soft night air. The tent gave just the right amount of elegance while keeping the vibe relaxed and connected to the outdoors—perfect for an outdoor Texas wedding.

One of my favorite details of the day was the custom-made dinner plates Samantha and Jan made themselves. How fun will it be when they pull these out and use them for special occasions and their anniversary dinners in the future. It’s little personal touches like this that make a wedding feel truly one-of-a-kind.

Being part of a wedding that takes place on land with history and personal meaning is always such an honor. Samantha and Jan’s day was filled with love, laughter, and a strong sense of family and tradition.
